Our joeys may cost a little more than some and a little less than others, but at The Sugar Shack you definitely get more for your money.  Through Glider Grove Adoptions, we offer custom matching to the finest hand tamed joeys.  All of our sugar gliders respond to their names, are vet checked to assure good health, and come with a wellness warranty .  The Sugar Shack’s Gilded Glider Specialty Shoppe offers a complementary scenting program designed to ease the transition of and speed the bonding process with your new Glider Grove glider.  Plus, as an added bonus with every single sugar glider or glider pair adoption, you will receive a helpful Glider Grove Adoption Kit to help get you started.

 Glider Grove’s New Glider Adoption Kit includes: a certificate of adoption, an informative sugar glider booklet, a veterinary health evaluation or record of treatment, a roomy snuggle sack, a fun toy, a Nutritional Sampler containing over ten different samples,  and for all local adoptions, the new jsugar glider's first nightly meal (frozen).

Promotional adoption fees are as follows:
Classic Gray Joeys: Males $200 & Females  $225.
Neutered Classic Gray Juvenile Males $285.
Black Beauty, Brown Beauty, Cinnamon, & Tan Joeys: Males $272 & Females  $297.
Young, Classic Gray Retired Breeding Pairs (with Male Neutered): $400 per pair.

All available sugar gliders require a non-refundable $75 deposit to reserve.

 

To reserve your new glider and lock in the promotional adoption fees (discounted by up to 30% off normal rates) The Sugar Shack’s Glider Grove Adoption Application must be submitted and approved, the quiz from our Pool of Knowledge proving basic glider knowledge must be successfully completed, and all required deposits must be received along with the materials needed to participate in our complementary scenting program a minimum of two weeks prior to pick up and no later than October 31st, 2004.  Eligible gliders will be ready to go to their new homes at varying times ranging from late August thru October.

From time to time we may have older gliders, rescued gliders, or retired breeders available for adoption into loving homes.  Please inquire for availability and adoption fees.  We gladly accept applicants who wish to adopt these gliders as part of our waiting list.  Any profit generated from the adoption fees of rescued gliders is used to fund future glider rescues and/or conservation efforts.

Due to federal regulations regarding the breeding of sugar gliders, Glider Grove recommends the adoption of same sex pairings or neutered male-female pairings for all owners not currently licensed by the USDA to breed gliders.  In an effort to prevent accidental breeding and to promote neutering of our male joeys, The Sugar Shack offers a $15 rebate to all owners who choose to have their adopted Glider Grove male neutered by 8 months oop.  Veterinary proof of the neuter is required and the male glider must not be bred prior to the neuter in order to be eligible. The Sugar Shack prefers not to ship, but we will ship jouys as pairs through an accredited airline program (weather permitting) to residents within the Continental USA for an additional fee. Joeys are also available to residents within the Ontario Region of Canada (please request details). 

The Sugar Shack is a USDA Licensed facility operated by a NY State-Licensed Veterinary Technician. We are happy to provide both supplies and follow up support to all adopting parents.

 

*All males in related male female pairs must be neutered at the new owners expense prior to leaving our possession.
