A prior deposit of $75 USC was applied and the remainder of
$_______ USC was paid to The Sugar Shack’s Glider Grove Adoptions
program on ___date___. At
The Sugar Shack’s Glider Grove, our wellness warranty ensures our
customers of the healthiest sugar glider joeys.
Unfortunately, each Glider Grove joey can only be warranteed for
the first 72 hours after you receive possession of it due to the fact
that most glider health problems occur as direct a result of improper
care, nutrition, or environment. If
your new sugar glider shows signs of illness within the 72-hour time
period, it is your responsibility to immediately take that joey to a
veterinarian that is familiar with treating sugar gliders for
examination. You must
contact us within 24 hours after your veterinary visit.
Be prepared to provide us with the details of any illness that
the doctor has diagnosed. At
this time, we can opt to extend the warranty period until the problem
resolved. Glider Grove
joeys are NOT warranteed against any illness or death occurring as a
result of irresponsibility, traumatic injury, or improper care. Should the death of your new joey occur within our warranty
period, we reserve the right to either replace the joey or refund your
adoption fee on a case-by-case basis.
In addition, we reserve the right to request that a veterinarian
supply us with verification of the cause of death.
Furthermore, no warranty is intended or implied concerning the
temperament and/ or reproductive ability of any Glider Grove joeys. Any
sugar gliders adopted from The Sugar Shack’s Glider Grove program
shall not be sold, gifted, or otherwise given to another party without
written consent from the breeder. In
the event that the initial responsible party becomes unable to maintain
possession of said sugar glider, the breeder retains first option to
purchase sugar glider ___joey id #___ back, according to
the fee schedule listed below:
Up
to 2 years after adoption at ½ of the original agreed fee.
2
years up to 4 years after adoption at 1/3 of the original agreed fee.
4
years up to 7 years after adoption at ¼ of the original agreed fee. If
at any point this contract is breeched by the responsible party or the
adopted sugar glider is reported ill, injured, or at risk due to abuse
or neglect while in the responsible party’s care, the breeder reserves
the right to both reclaim the sugar glider and provide any necessary
medical treatment solely at the expense of the responsible party listed
below. Should a determination of abuse or neglect of the sugar glider be
made by a qualified veterinarian, a humane officer, or a representative
of a corresponding government agency, the sugar glider in question will
be reclaimed by the breeder with no compensation provided to the
responsible party listed below, as well as with no compensation being
provided to the party that the sugar glider was adopted on the behalf
of. In addition, any false
statements made on the responsible party’s initial application,
constitute an immediate breech of contract and become penalized as such.
